Fried Pickles
Who doesn’t love ordering an appetizer of fried pickles to share? Now you don’t have to leave your house to savor this classic. Here’s what you will need:
● Thickly cut pickle slices (about 14 is great for sharing!)
● 1/4 cup of flour
● 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder
● 3 Tablespoons of dark beer
● Pinch of salt
● 2-3 tablespoons of water
● 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
● 6 tablespoons of panko bread crumbs
● 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
● Oil spray
- Dry your pickle slices with a clean hand towel or paper towels
- Combine the flour, baking powder, beer, salt, and water to create a waffle-like batter.
- On one plate, spread cornstarch. On a second plate, put the bread crumbs, paprika, and a little more salt together
- Put the pickles, cornstarch, batter, bread crumb mixture, and air fryer, one after the other on your counter to start breading your pickles
- Dip both sides of your pickles in the cornstarch, and then in the batter. When the pickles are evenly coated, finally cover the pickles in the panko mixture
- Place your slices into the Power Air Fryer in a single layer in the dryer basket, and spray a little oil on the slices. After air frying for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees, carefully flip your slices, give them another spray, and put them back in for 8-10 minutes
